Mojo Monday #448 – You’ve Got This

I’ve been looking for a good place to use my SU “You’ve Got This” stamp set for a while, and this morning’s Mojo Monday sketch seemed to offer the perfect opportunity. I think the peony stamp is so pretty. But instead of going for a watercolor look, I decided to break out my alcohol markers and really color the flower up. Great fun to do on a grey, rainy day. It’s Mojo Monday, and also Staff Appreciation week at my kids’ school. Mojo Monday #408 – Missing U Already

  
I made this 3.5″ x 6″ card for my sister-in-law, who is moving to New York this week and will be starting grad school there in September. Although I’m very happy for her that she’s doing something that she really wants to do, it’s hard to see her go because she’s such an amazing aunt to my kids. I’d been wondering how I would be able to use this particular face stamp from the Dylusions “Shattered Bits” stamp set because I thought it looked kind of sad, but this week’s card turned out to be the perfect opportunity.
